Food Safety for the Holidays

Food safety is an important topic during the holiday and all year round. Join Katie, WMEC’s registered and licensed dietician, to learn how to help keep you and your family safe while in the kitchen. This webinar is open to the public and will benefit anyone who cooks, with a special focus on keeping older adults safe at home.

  • How to safely prepare meals for yourself or your family
  • How long to keep leftovers
  • Holiday guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19

Katie Defoe-Raymond, MS, RD, LDN

WestMass ElderCare Nutritionist

Katie is a registered and licensed dietitian with a M.S. in Human Nutrition. She has experience working as a dietitian in the hospital including on the geriatric psych unit, teaching nutrition-related workshops as previous Nutrition Coordinator of The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, and providing one-on-one nutrition education as a private practice dietitian and as past nutrition consultant for WestMass ElderCare.
