Since
1974
WestMass ElderCare has existed to serve the needs of older people.
A private, non-profit agency, its programs are funded by grants and
contracts from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, and a number
of other funding sources, including private donations.
WestMass
ElderCare offers a diversity of programs and services to preserve independence
and the family network. We are here
to meet the individual needs of the elder at the different stages along the
continuum of care, ranging from information services to inhome support, to
crisis prevention and nursing home advocacy.
WestMass
ElderCare awards grants through the Older Americans Act to
fund a number of services, such as
legal assistance, community-based services, home repair, inhome services and a
variety of health programs including services for caregivers.
